OrgDef (3) – How it Works

May 22, 2012

A basic, more general parameter is this (quote Lowen): »All orgasm-experiences do share one element of which I believe it offers the key to the understanding of this phenomenon. This element is the physical feeling of satisfaction. To deserve the label «orgasm», a sexual discharge must be physically satisfying.» Lowen states that anyone who experienced «such» an orgasm will be truly satisfied and neither irritable nor sad or aggressive, at unrest or upset.

I understand this satisfaction to be a complete one (for the body AND the mind) resulting from such a mono-orgasm. Further down we will understand why this is possible. – At this point I come to think of anyone who feels NOT satisfied with (or rather from) mono-orgasm. Multiple orgasm is not the answer concerning sexual satisfaction. As we will see further down, multiplicity of sexual climaxes is just another way from complete orgasm to reach satisfaction. The secret lies in the level of energetic charge and discharge of the body!

Probably the most distinct parameter deals with involuntary (!) pelvic movements when the orgasmic reflex takes over. Reich and Lowen differentiate between potent and non-potent orgasm. The complete (body) orgasm is a potent one, contrary to an only partly experienced orgasm (within the pelvis alone or even concentrated within the genitals/reproductive system), which must be inhibited. Hence the complete orgasm features involuntary pelvis/body movements in contrast to the stiffening of the body and the avoiding of free breathing when the orgasm-reflex of an inhibited orgasm-experience is about to occur.

precum

For the better understanding of the involuntarity of movement we need to know that the functioning of the human body is driven by, what Lowen calls, the «I» and the «it». The «I» would be the Ego-Body with its conscious decisions, conscious acting and self-consciousness. The «it» controls the emotional-vegetative functioning of the body like the metabolism or the endocrine system. Impulses, instinct and reflexes are executed by the «it»-body which represents the evolutionary older part of an organism.

What happens at (complete) orgasm is this: the body experiences a profound change of condition when the flow of sexual (electric) energy reverses and brings with it the automatism of body-(pelvic)-movement. Until then the flow is always directed at the genitals. Just before the reflex (=discharge, =orgasm) sets in, the direction of energy-flow is reversed and the excitement flows from the pelvic area back into the body: the movements (the swinging) of the pelvis become smooth and more and more involuntarily. Breathing synchronizes with these convulsive movements.

Eventually the «it» takes over! That’s when the feeling of the energy-flow becomes so intense, that it finally overrules the «I». The loss of the «I»-consciousness means the takeover of a deeper life-functioning («it») now ruling over the organism. At this instance the excitement with its enormous energetic potential spreads out into the whole body. The energetic discharge is happening, the orgasmic reflex is moving body and soul literally. It is this autonomous mega-reflex, which makes the body bounce and spasm uncontrollably. This ecstatic and profound discharge of lust (energy) is releasing ALL of the sexual excitement and tension, followed by the relaxation of the body and the detumescence of the erectile tissue. The whole process always is experienced as being deeply satisfactory.

I briefly want to add two more quite self-explanatory parameters we observe going along with complete orgasm. First: it is the breathing, which will occur deep and free all the way through the experience. Breathing is tightly connected not only to the metabolism (thus the economy of energy), but very much so to emotional experience. Deep breath enhances feelings! And second we know that the heartbeat is significantly speeded up parallel to the orgasmic reflex.

OrgDef (2) – Formula

May 20, 2012

It must have been around 1980, that´s when I have been in my early 20s. At that time I was eager to learn more about sexuality (in general) and orgasm (in particular) and it was then, when I purchased a book and a second one a couple of years later, which had an impact on me lasting to date. The first one is called The Function of the Orgasm, written by Wilhelm Reich.

He was born in what was then part of Austria in 1897 and became a psychoanalytic learning from and working with Sigmund Freud in Vienna. Early on he focused on sexuality and bio-energy. He had worked in Berlin and Scandinavian countries before he emigrated to the US where he died in 1957. In his book he analyses the physiological process of an encompassing body orgasm among other implications in relation to neuroses and a theory on individual and public mental health.

The second book is written by a former student of Reich! His name is Alexander Lowen and he became a psychiatrist as well. He was born in 1910 and founded the International Institute for Bioenergetics in NYC. His book is called Love and Orgasm published by MacMillan Publishing Co. in 1965. As the title of his book suggests Lowen was focusing on the orgasmic reaction in connection with love.

Based on the findings of his teacher and mentor Reich, Lowen took a close look on the sexual peak experience in cases he encountered in his daily work, which in turn confirmed the theories of Reich. His approach, the combination of emotion and sexual climax, may sound conservative, but had a great appeal with my personal attitude nonetheless. I believe that orgasm and love indeed provide the ultimate combination concerning a state of a (ever so short) transcended existence, unsurpassable by anything else known to mankind.

The findings of both these scientists deal with devotion in its purest form. Both, love and orgasm, need to be met with utmost devotion to unfold their full potential. Or, in other words, love and orgasm without devotion won´t just work at all! Hence it comes to no surprise that in my opinion, orgasm in the (ideal) understanding of Reich and Lowen does indeed serve as a benchmark for any sexual climax being addressed as «orgasm».

Now to the facts: Reich proposed a simple formula of the energetic cycle of the whole sexual reaction with an orgasm at its core. Quote: «First the organs are filled with fluid: erection with MECHANICAL TENSION. This brings along strong excitement of which I assumed it to be of electric nature: ELECTRICAL CHARGE. Through orgasm the muscular spasms will release the electric charge i.e. the sexual excitement: ELECTRICAL DISCHARGE. This discharge will merge into detumescence of the genitalia by drainage of the body fluids: MECHANICAL RELAXATION.» The conclusion for Reich was: «An orgasm is nothing other than an electrical discharge.» He regarded his formula as the most important, the most vital process of any living matter, because this cycle also applies to cell division.

It may have become a bit clearer at this point, why sexual climaxes obey the rule of change. It is because we deal with «electrical charge» which can be translated into «sexual excitement» or «lust», which naturally is subject to many factors in- and outside of a body. Thus men and women are not only subject to an ever-different peak experience, but also capable of a broad variety to qualitatively different sexual climaxes.

This is a first hint to why we can design our sexual climaxes, why we can learn and direct certain sexual reactions. Now Reich and Lowen aimed for the ultimate reaction, what they called «complete orgasm», at which the whole of the body is deeply moved. They preferred this variant as being the «genuine orgasm», so to speak, because it was the (only) uninhibited one, identifying the experiencer as a truly healthy person (remember both have been psychoanalytical professionals).

Alexander Lowen is the one who I will follow in the description of parameters for such a climax in my next post.

Ruined Orgasm

March 16, 2012

In the world of BDSM we find a method of significant humiliation called ruined orgasm. Yet is there such a thing, and if so, why does it work?

I want to take a closer look here, because we deal with two body reactions when it comes to sexual climaxing. Ejaculation and orgasm are not the same, so which of the reactions is effected, if at all? The short answer is: you can not really ruin an ejaculation, but you can ruin an orgasm.

Why ruin after all? In this blog I recently wrote about cum-denial and forced ejaculation. Now an escalation of these practices within a master/mistress-slave constellation, where the slave is totally at the hands (and will) of his master/mistress, would be the destruction (ruining) of the experience of sexual relief. This is truly sadistic, because it leaves the victim highly frustrated if not damaged to a certain extend.

Concerning ejaculation, an attempt of ruining it, or rather experiencing it as such, is more related to the attitude and experience of the slave than to the biological process. Ejaculation is a reflex which either can be avoided, or which runs its program once triggered. The reflex can´t be interrupted, it can´t be ruined per se. It though can be denied, avoided.

When you avoid ejaculation, you edge. When you manage to avoid PONR but trigger emission (the free flow of milk) it is even more rewarding, because you harvest cum (with the associated sensations of expelling fluid from your glands) without losing your hornyness. And when you pass PONR you experience ejaculatory climax, although that may not always feel mind-blowing, depending on the circumstances. But the reflex does take place, your respective muscles do spasm in a pulsing manner, despite the volume of secretions waiting in your glands to see the light of day.

With orgasm it is a different story. The topic orgasm lies still ahead, actually, it will be the subject of my next chapter arriving soon. Orgasm is more complex than ejaculation. When you mess with that, you mess with the whole man!

Whereas ejaculation is a local phenomenon (centered in your pelvis region), the orgasmic reaction, being a powerful reflex as well, integrates the whole body. Orgasm, in short, is a discharge of energy (i.e. arousal and excitement having encompassed your being) letting you lose conscious control over your body for a brief moment.

Other than your ejaculation, which you can manipulate and observe and savor like from a distance, keeping calm over all (which in fact is the beauty of it), your body literally moves you at the moment of orgasmic release. This goes along with secondary physiological changes in your body that may be missing with ejaculation. Here are the most obvious ones:

  • The heart rate peaks as high as 180 beats per minute (from a resting rate of about 70).
  • The blood pressure peaks at about 200 over 110, from a resting pressure of about 130 over 70.
  • The respiratory rate peaks at about 41 breaths a minute, from a resting rate of about 12 per minute.
  • The sex flush, if present, peaks in intensity and distribution.

It is not difficult to imagine that a master/mistress ruins the orgasm of the victim when his body is set to discharge the accumulated energy or even begins to do so, while the master/mistress denies further stimulation to make it happen, instead turning away and leaving the victim totally frustrated with his primed biology now unable to execute the all-encompassing, body-wracking experience set to undergo right there and then. This ain´t healthy by no means. It´s like hitting the brakes at full speed!

After all, ruining a climax is as much a physical issue as it is a mental one. You need constant sensory input to trigger a climax, no matter if ejaculation or orgasm. And since both reactions are most often intertwined it may not matter much which of them is pending, once you are under total control of your dom. When you sense that you are ever so close to the threshold, or (even worse in this case) your point-of-no-return is reached and maybe just passed, and you are left alone in that instant, possibly strapped down, then you experience your life is ruined right there. You hardly find another frustration that sinister.

Penis–Foreskin (2)

August 23, 2011

In the current poll (# 17) of this blog I am asking:

When masturbating, I prefer my ejaculation to be triggered thru

I am kind of puzzled that just five (4.9%) out of 102 participants until now were marking foreskin caressing!

That is, because the inner side of the intact skin is featuring some very exquisite tissue called the Ridged Band. Dr. John R. Taylor of the University of Manitoba did extensive research about this area of skin which marks the trigger-point for ejaculation, – he also provided the name (Ridged Band). Before I stumbled upon Dr. Taylors research I was lucky enough to discover and explore my own ridged band and ever since I just love to trigger my first (of sometimes multiple) ejaculations. This urge is also depicted in many of my stories posted in this blog. Take a look at this story, here you can read a descriptive passage!

Dr. Taylor cared to shed light on the function of the ridged band (look further down). Other scientists, like Morris L. Sorrells et al., were experimenting on circumcised and intact cocks to find out which areas of our magic wands were most sensitive to touch and pressure, and if there are differences between cut and uncut guys. I think their results are most revealing. Look at a graphic representation of their findings. But first I need to give you a brief explanation of their experiment (you can also find this representation here from where I got it):

Sorrells and others enlisted 159 men from the San Francisco Bay area (USA), 91 of them circumcised, and conducted touch-sensitivity tests, using instruments that press with calibrated hairs, on 11 or 17 different places on their penises. The men could not see where they were being touched.

They found that the most sensitive part of a circumcised penis is on the scar in the middle underneath (19). But several places on the foreskin (3, 4, 13, 14) are as sensitive as that:

The glans (8, 9, 10 11) is the least sensitive part of the penis, contrary to a common claim, but where it is covered by the foreskin (8, 11), the glans of the intact penis is more sensitive than the circumcised.

This proved that circumcision removes the most sensitive part of a man’s penis.

Back to Dr. Taylor. He found that (quote):

The ridged band is a zone of strongly ridged or corrugated tissue normally hidden from view just inside the tip of the foreskin. Large bunches of coiled nerve endings known as “Meissner’s corpuscles” (also called “genital corpuscles”) are concentrated in the peaks of the ridges. The ridged band was first described in 1996. There is no other structure like it on the human body.

And:

The ridged band readily expands and contracts and is obviously designed to detect stretching forces. When penile shaft skin tugs on the ridged band, the special “genital corpuscles” in the peaks of the ridges detect movement and trigger ejaculation. Stretching of the ridged band may also trigger and sustain erection [this all via reflex or involuntary contraction of 'bulb muscles' enclosing the bulb or root of penis (BC)].

So, if you are intact don´t hezitate to explore your ridged band and enjoy what it triggers in you! Check this: I am linking to a clip showing 35 secs of foreskin-masturbation in a close-up. It demonstrates foreskin-caressing on a lubed cock via the crown-grip. Such stroking will trigger ejaculation (not shown) sooner than later. The Ridged Band makes sure of that!

(The clip is mute, size is 2.6 MB, format is .mov, this is my clip-policy.)
